While nowhere in the greater Milwaukee area is safe, some places are more dangerous than others. Savvy travelers know to avoid the Northcentral Valley due to the constant skirmishes being fought in the region. Horsemen of the Apocalypse run routine sweeps of the area, attacking anyone unlucky enough to cross their path. Those who stumble across the remains of those unfortunates tend to lose their stomach for travel... as well as their faith in humanity. The Horsemen often use the bodies of their victims as revolting decorations to celebrate their victories.

Keepers of the Flame, Bandits of the Hood, and traveling groups of Curators probe the Northcentral Valley commonly, perhaps seeking to draw small parties of Horsemen away from the main host. The strategy can backfire as weakened groups turn from Horsemen hunters to the hunted; some of more petty Keepers, Bandits, and Curators are so foolish as to pick fights with each other when traversing the territory of their common enemy.

The battles and skirmishes have ebbed and flowed for years and show no signs of slowing. Locals will tell passerbys to give the Northcentral Valley a wide berth; if visitors are compelled to enter the region, it is strongly suggested that they lay low, conduct their business, and escape with as little fuss or fanfare as possible.
